This week, Kim Kardashian acknowledged her sex tape was the reason she leaped to fame.
Speaking to Oprah Winfrey, she admitted the release of the x-rated film with ex-boyfriend Ray J 'humiliated' the family.
However, her ex- husband Kris Humphries whom she married for just 72 days is said to have claimed her mother Kris Jenner conceived the idea of a tape in the first place.

The tape Kim Kardashian: Superstar was leaked online in February 2007 - four years after it was made.
Kim initially sued Vivid Entertainment for ownership of the tape, but later settled for a reported $5million.
Eight months later after the tape's release, Kim and her family were given the opportunity to star in their own reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
